Rachel Kornhauser is a critically thinking environmentalist who has made a career talking about and working toward sustainability. In her talk, she discusses the similarities of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, how we got here, and who is suffering the most. Rachel is an enthusiastic environmental educator who has spent the past 15 years bringing environmental and outdoor learning opportunities to students around the world. Rachel currently works as the Director of the Office of Sustainability at SUNY Oneonta. Rachel has taught outdoor field studies to students in Brooklyn, NY, taught undergraduate Education students how to include hands-on science in their future classrooms, and produced live-stream webcasts from rural Tanzania to highlight the issues associated with water scarcity.
