![]() |
In this webinar, NESCA's Sophie Bellenis, OTD/OTR/L, discusses the reasons behind the need for comprehensive sexual health education for students with disabilities and examines common barriers to the successful delivery of this information. Through a review of human sexual development, Bellenis tells us how education can be tailored to this population and how personal ethics play a role in this topic. Finally, she discusses concrete strategies for answering questions, providing age-appropriate information and teaching consent. Recommendations for resources are provided.
