~~~~ This is the opening talk in the Summer Retreat 2018 at Lower Hamlet. In this talk Sister Chan Duc introduces to us the first eight mindful breathing exercises in the Sutra on Full Awareness of Breathing. Breathing is the bridge that brings body and mind together. When you come back to your mindful breathing, your body and mind become one. Nearly 2,600 years ago the Buddha was suggesting that we use breathing as a basic practice, but we don’t need to be a Buddhist in order to practice breathing. Everyone can practice breathing in our daily life.
