Weekly Walk: Central Park's Children's District

video thumbnail
You might think you went through a portal and found yourself in a storybook when you enter the Children’s District in the south end of Central Park. Take a virtual stroll from the Dairy and the Chess & Checkers House, through the Playmates Arch and beyond. You will hear how the Park evolved to incorporate places for children to play and how structures designed just for young Park visitors were developed.

The mission of the Central Park Conservancy is to preserve and celebrate Central Park as a sanctuary from the pace and pressures of city life, enhancing the enjoyment and wellbeing of all.
