SAFTU to join the EFF planned mass action

video thumbnail
The South African Federation of Trade Unions (SAFTU) says it has decided to form part of the national down planned by the EFF following a meeting between the two formations. Making the announcement in Johannesburg yesterday, SAFTU General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi says the federation will mobilize its members to join the national shutdown scheduled for the 20th of March. Crime, corruption and rampant looting of state resources, an austerity budget that has just been delivered by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana are some of the reasons mentioned by SAFTU that caused the federation to join forces with the EFF in their planned mass protest. SAFTU General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi joins us virtually.
