When a crushing ankle injury threatened to end 19-year old Nazareth native McKayla O’Connell’s weightlifting career, she had a life-changing choice to make. After care by providers in another health care system did not meet her goals, she chose Coordinated Health and fellowship-trained Foot & Ankle surgeon, Dr. Scott Sauer. A cross-fitter and weightlifter himself, he designed a rapid recovery program with his team that had McKayla qualifying for the 2017 Junior National Weightlifting Championship in just months.
