What if I were to tell you that not only can Oregon produce eruptions similar to Iceland's recent effusive eruptions, but it actually did a mere 11,000 years ago? This is the story of the Devils Garden volcano as told and analyzed by a volcanologist. The 3 year long eruption of the Devils Garden volcanic field thousands of years ago led to the emplacement of a 38 square mile lava field.
