A little over a year ago I made the first video in a two-part series that looked at the face of the Great Sphinx and who exactly we are looking at. Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/40Gv62O1tV0

I didn’t make the second part straight away because I really was unsure. I found it hard to make a conclusion because my knowledge on the history of Giza, the Sphinx and the pyramids was still lacking. I needed to do more background research to offer my own opinion, an opinion that I can stand behind, and that is backed up with clear evidence and thought processes.

I now have reached a conclusion for who I think has their face carved onto the Great Sphinx of Egypt: the famous King Khufu, supposed builder of the Great Pyramid and in this somewhat complex video, I go through exactly why I think this is the case.

The key point to know are that in the 18th Dynasty, the Sphinx was known as Horemakhet, a depiction of the powerful god, Ra-Horakhty. From the 5th dynasty onwards, kings of Egypt were known as sons of Ra-Horakhty but in the time of Khufu, it was believed the king would be re-born as Horakhty after death. This is a key reason why I believe that Khufu is depicted on this statue of Horakhty.

In this video I also present more evidence and I also explain why I don't think it wasn't any 18th Dynasty king, not Ahmose I, Thutmose I, IV or Amenhotep II.

This is a very complicated video to research and if I've made any glaring errors, I hold my hands up, but I'd love to read your constructive comments in the comment section below.
