video thumbnail
The following is one of the highlighted summative projects from Trinity College School’s Grade 12 Equity and Social Justice class. In this dynamic video production, 17-year-old Deniz Ural explores the challenges that women face in modern-day Turkey.

Deniz is a young woman from Turkey who has a profound passion for women’s rights and equality. She strives to help women by bringing awareness to gender equality issues and, although she wants to advocate for women’s rights globally, she is especially concerned with women’s rights in Turkey. She also enjoys dancing, singing, acting and art, and she has great respect for wisdom and learning through experience. She is planning on studying at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto in order to learn more about design and communication as she is keen to make a difference in the world through her creativity.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
