National Shutdown | COSATU and SAFTU call for a cap on fuel price |
|
SAFTU general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi says they acknowledge all the workers who heeded the call to participate in yesterday's national strike against the rising cost of living in South Africa and undermining collective bargaining by employers. SAFTU and COSATU handed over a memorandum of demands to government at the Union Buildings in Pretoria. Affiliated members of both federations marched in various cities across the country.
Vavi says the national shutdown was a success. For more news, visit sabcnews.com and also #SABCNews on all Social Media platforms. |
