The Economics of Teenager Life | Daniel Monteiro | TEDxYouth@TSIS |
|
As a teenager, Daniel Monteiro is no stranger to banter, gossip and schoolwork. In the depths of his imagination, he is the reincarnation of famous economist John Maynard Keynes.
In his talk, Monteiro uses economics to deconstruct some of the seemingly irrational decisions teenagers make on a daily basis. If economics can explain teenage life, then perhaps it still has relevance solving world issues. Monteiro is an economics columnist for the South China Morning Post’s Young Post. He is also the chairman of Hong Kong Model United Nations and founder of the student charity portal Project Linkup. As a teenager, Daniel Monteiro is no stranger to banter, gossip and schoolwork.
