In this video, I give you a full review of the 2022 Polestar 2 Dual Motor AWD - and compare it to the super popular Tesla Model 3 (I drive a 2018 M3 Long Range!). It's no secret that Tesla (for the time being) pretty much owns the EV market, especially when it comes to performance-oriented sedans, hatchbacks and SUVs. But Volvo's Polestar EV-only brand is coming for Musk's industry-leading lineup, and for 2022 the Polestar 2 Dual Motor AWD is a formidable competitor to the insanely popular Model 3. The Polestar 2 is comparably priced, and is more traditional on the inside when compared to an ICE car; despite its Scandinavian roots, it's not nearly as minimalistic as a Tesla and comes complete with buttons, toggles, knobs and the like. The interior is premium and plush, full of soft fabrics, vegan materials and high-quality plastic. Its massive center touchpad and digital-only gauge cluster are something to marvel at as you cruise down the highway. The seats are bolstered, soft, and conform to your body. The backseat is tight, and the cargo space leaves something to be desired. But the biggest con, however, is the range: it doesn't match the Model 3 and could be somewhat confusing to Tesla fans -- the Polestar 2 Dual Motor AWD clocks in at 249 miles of estimated range, while the SINGLE MOTOR comes in higher at 270 miles of range. That's backwards in Tesla world, where the more motors on the car = the more range the car has. But this car is QUICK, and matches the Tesla Model 3 Long Range's 0-60mph sprint, and delivers the same sort of neck-breaking torque fans of EVs have come to expect. So what do you think? Are you a fan? Would you buy a Polestar 2 over a Tesla Model 3?
