Pakistan, at the moment, stands at a crossroad where we have a choice to make! We can continue with business-as-usual and adopt the status quo approach towards energy and climate issues; if that's what we choose, we'll continue to face the same questions and concerns about the environment and climate change. On the other hand, we can choose a new road to a future that not just protects us to mitigate climate change hazards, but also steer the economy towards sustainability for decades to come. She reflected upon the urgent need to revert to our architectural roots and learn from the past to build a better environment for future generations. Her talk provides us with simple solutions for what can we do and how can we bring about a positive change in our environment.URV6W2FJDVFBRPUG Aisha Aziz is a professional architect, based in Lahore.
