Understanding Spiritual Depression & Dark Night of the Soul - Four Paths Towards Enlightenment |
|
When you think of spirituality, do you ever think of sadness, despair, or a sense of feeling deeply alone?
Chances are when you think of a spiritual person you think of someone that is lively, carefree, joyful and full of energy and exuberance. But the truth is that the spiritual path can often be quite lonely and painful. Traditionally, we call this deep spiritual depression the 'Dark Night of the Soul' and it has afflicted nearly all spiritual aspirants from all religions, belief systems and creeds from Mother Theresa to Eckhart Tolle. In today's video I discuss this spiritual reckoning period, what it means, and how to process it more quickly so we can get out from our own suffering. I also discuss the four paths towards spiritual enlightenment to help support and guide you on your inner journey. I love helping people and have always served as a mentor and coach my entire life. My passion has always been to help others gain a greater understanding of themselves. I have a bachelors in Psychology and hold a professional life coaching certification through an ICF accredited program. However, my most valuable training has simply been the school of life and my 25 year meditation practice. As a long time meditator, I know how the mind works and I help guide people in understanding their own minds so that they can use these inner tools and practices to help them stay balanced, grounded, and joyful no matter what the external circumstances are. This is the core of what I do, to simply remind everyone that they are powerful beings and that they have the power to create a life they love. Thanks for watching! Elizabeth Hancock |
