A 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit the Kyrgyzstan-Xinjiang border. The quake jolted China’s Wushi County, in Aksu prefecture. Strong tremors caused two houses to collapse and downed two major power lines. The Xinjiang Railway Authority also immediately halted operations. However, trains gradually resumed operations and power lines were also restored eventually.
