The Active Volcano in California; Salton Buttes |
|
Unknown to many, the Salton Sea within California is host to an active volcano. This volcano has produced several recent eruptions, and today contains numerous vents actively venting volcanic gasses. The volcano I am referring to is called the Salton Buttes, which is one of the most likely volcanoes within California to erupt in the next century. It frequently produces swarms of earthquakes, hinting at activity beneath the surface. This video will discuss this volcano, and mention what its future hazards are.
