After reports of Sanjay Dutt being diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer started doing the rounds of social media, the actor's wife Maanayata Dutt opened up about the matter. In a statement, she thanked fans who sent in wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. Maanayata also requested them all to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours and continue to show their love, warmth and support. Sanjay Dutt's wife also said that 'there is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years and she is confident, this too shall pass'. Maanayata concluded by saying that 'all we seek are your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have'.
