In a time when everyone is searching for culprits, the philosopher and writer Stelios Ramfos is suggesting self-awareness Stelios Ramfos is considered an emblematic figure of the Greek intellectual elite. He studied Law in Athens and Philosophy in Paris. A doughty spirit, he went through contrasting philosophical fields. He got started with academic research as a Marxist, yet the approach of the universality of Hellenism became a landmark to his process. His public discourse was connected to the ideas of neo-orthodoxy. Still, later on, while studying the history of Greece as a field of conflict between eastern and western ideas, he reconsidered and thus attributed to orthodoxy traits that impede progress.He has written more than thirty books, while his articles are getting published in Greece and abroad.
