Stop overworking yourself: Jochen Menges at TEDxCambridgeUniversity

video thumbnail
Jochen looks at our modern tendency to take on more and more work and asks how this might impact on the quality of both our work and lives. With this in mind, he shares some valuable ways to 'break free from the acceleration trap'.

Dr. Jochen Menges is a lecturer in the Judge Business School at Cambridge university, and also an expert in the psychological framework which underpins the challenges faced by organisation structures, and individuals who operate within organisations. His research on organisational behaviour has been featured on the BBC, CNN, and in The Economist, The Financial Times and many others.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
