Financial experts say that if you use only 30 percent of your credit limit and make timely payments, then your CIBIL score becomes strong. If you use more than 30 percent of the credit limit every month and also make payments on time, then this is not a good situation. In simple words, understand that the monthly bill of the card should be limited to 30 percent of the credit limit (credit utilization ratio).

Avoid withdrawing cash
Cash withdrawal facility is also available with credit card. However, never make such a mistake. There is no interest free period for cash withdrawal. Apart from this, you also have to deposit many additional charges. According to the HDFC Bank website, when you withdraw cash from a credit card, a cash advance fee of 2.5 to 3 percent has to be deposited. Advance fee minimum can range from Rs 250 to Rs 500. The interest starts from the day you make the cash withdrawal. This continues till the full repayment is done. Apart from this, interest from 2.5 to 3.5 percent has to be deposited every month. Apart from this, cash withdrawal also weakens your credit score.
