How do we create meaning? | Albert Boswijk | TEDxStendenUniversity |
|
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. New ways of value creation for businesses.
A co-author of 'The Experience Economy – How to create meaningful experiences' will introduce new ways of value creation for businesses. Albert Boswijk is fascinated by the process on how people learn, form and shape their life and create meaning - on how we become alive and energetic and passionate when we discover our purpose in life. He has been studying Andrology, a mixture of philosophy, psychology, sociology, research and management of change, at the University of Amsterdam. A study that is extinguished but is very much needed at present. Albert developed himself as a psycho therapist helping people to find their true self. His work evolved to another level and became engaged in how to ‘humanize business”. After a successful career as change agent and professional rebel he founded the European Centre for the Experience and Transformation Economy in order to help businesses to transform to a new time frame and to create shared meaningful value in society. He published and co-authored two books; The Experience Economy, how to create meaningful experiences and The Economy of Experiences. There are hopeful signals that we move towards a more collaborative economy and a society where trust and value are significantly present. The title of his TEDTalk will be humanizing business and new ways of value creation. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) |
