The antioxidants in green tea, specifically catechin EGCG have shown positive results for reducing metastasis and improving outcomes for cancers of the lungs, colon, breasts, skin, and many others. Drinking green tea regularly may help lower high blood pressure, leading to better heart health. According to nine studies, people who drank 1-3 cups of green tea daily had a lower risk of heart attack and stroke, as opposed to those who drank less than 1 cup. In a different large study of more than 40,000 adults, it was shown that green tea drinkers had a lesser risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.
