Inge and her husband Esfan Eghtessadi started Essentiel in 1999. Their joint adventure in fashion stared off with an idea that was as simple as four styles of T-shirts available in 20 different colours. The collections have evolved towards original and off the beaten tracks designs with shops in Belgium and abroad. Inge shares her stories on how she grew an idea into a brand.
Inge leads the design team with a huge amount of positive energy, injecting fashion and style. She travels the world for inspiration, but remains deeply rooted in Antwerp. Esfan combines his passionate involvement with the product with innate business intuition. Following on from the company’s domestic success Esfan is now focused on the international expansion of the brand. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx |
