Strategic Foresight Principles

video thumbnail
Roundtable with world-leading corporate foresight practitioners on how to apply foresight.

Strategic foresight as an organisational activity is not as commonly practised as many might think. But in recent years it has rapidly emerged as an essential tool in strategic planning in a time filled with uncertainty. Foresight is about having the mental flexibility to look beyond the short-term planning horizon that is often "stuck" in path-dependent thinking. However, creating a futures culture and a foresight mindset within the organization remains a challenge for many organisations.

In this webinar, we will explore how to bridge the gap between the present and the longer term, where many factors may come together in complex ways to create surprising futures. Join Senior Advisor & Futurist Simon Fuglsang Østergaard on November 21st from 16.00-17.00 (CET), where he’ll share insights and key principles for applying strategic foresight in a corporate context together with Joanna Lepore (Global Foresight Director, McDonald), Ludvig Liljekvist (Insight and Foresight Lead, IKEA), and Jaana Hyvärinen (Strategic Foresight Lead, KONE)

The webinar will provide you with actionable learnings, real-life cases, and knowledge on how to work with foresight and generate value in a corporate context.

Questions we will explore with our experts:
• How do you anticipate and innovate to cater for the customers of tomorrow?
• How do you simplify foresight and make it accessible and actionable?
• In a world full of uncertainty, how do you prepare your organisation for the future?
• How do you make the future relevant in your organisation?
• Where should foresight be positioned in the organisation and how do you make it stick?
