Zack Snyder’s newest film Rebel Moon is already avoiding a major problem that ended up ruining the Snyderverse. After the massive success of Army of the Dead, the zombie movie that Zack Snyder released on Netflix back in 2021, Snyder was greenlit to make several films for Netflix. Rebel Moon is an epic space opera and the first of Snyder’s new films to be released on Netflix. Originally conceived as a Star Wars film, Snyder reworked the script to be an original work and the first part is set to be released in December 2023.

Audiences have latched onto Zack Snyder’s newer projects in the wake of the massive success of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and the recent cancelation of the Snyderverse. There has been a call from Zack Snyder’s fans for Netflix to save the Snyderverse as audiences are desperate to see the rest of Snyder’s vision of the DCEU, but this deal is unlikely to happen as Warner Brothers still own DC properties. However, this does draw attention to how different Snyder’s working relationship with Netflix is in comparison to when he was working with DC, and it is certainly working in favor of Rebel Moon.
