In 2020, we saw a spotlight on the fight for racial equity worldwide. But how brightly did it shine in Hong Kong? And how can we can identify and overcome our own blind spots when it comes to race? Louisa is a British-Nigerian diversity and inclusion specialist and podcaster who wants to build racial equity and help people overcome their biases through conversations. She co-founded a podcast, HomeGrown, to share stories from members of the Black community in Hong Kong and beyond to foster community, dispel biases, explore racial dynamics and celebrate diversity and excellence. With a mission to inform, inspire and entertain, Louisa is breaking through race barriers one story at a time. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
