You can receive message notifications on the lock screen of your Galaxy A14. This allows you to see who has messaged you without having to unlock your phone.

However, there are times when you may want to keep your text messages private, and not have them displayed on the lock screen or in the notification bar.

To Hide Text Message Notifications On Lock Screen:
Go to 'Settings' on your Galaxy A14.
Scroll down and tap on 'Notifications', then tap on 'App Notifications'.
Scroll through your list of applications and find the 'Messaging' application you use. You may be using Google Messages or Samsung Messages. Tap on it.
Under 'Notification types'. By default, it is enabled and you can tell by the blue color around the rounded rectangle. It should also read 'Allowed'.
To disable notifications on lock screen, tap on 'Lock screen'. It should turn grey from blue and it should now read 'Not allowed'.

Now, when you receive a text message, you will not see the message content on the lock screen. Instead, you will see a generic message notification that simply says "New Message" or a Messages icon from the messaging app that you use.
