The Hole in the American Psyche | Heather Swope | TEDxCoeurdalene |
|
Heather Swope thinks that Americans have a hole in our psyche. She uses stories from her experiences living in China, Mongolia, and Indonesia to shine light on how American's interact with each other compared to how people in other cultures interact. This video will make you laugh loudly, think deeply, and act more kindly toward the strangers and friends in your life. Heather holds a BA in Chinese Languages from the University of Oregon, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Mongolia, and has spent much of her adult life living and traveling across Asia. As a multi-lingual, resident of the planet Earth and mom, Heather believes in being a force for good and cultivating understanding and growth through interpersonal interactions.
