You may be familiar with the four-stage cycle of narcissistic abuse: idealize, devalue, discard and hoover. This cycle explains what the narcissist does to a partner in a romantic relationship. In this video, I introduce an expanded cycle that explains why the narcissist does these things and why we react to it as we do.
