WHAT REALLY is the function of WING CHUN'S chain punching method? WHO WERE the TRUE masters of it? |

I'MMMMMMMMM BAAAAAAAACK!
The worst enemies of traditional martial arts are often the so-called masters! COMBATIVES is PRINCIPLE DRIVEN and ALL martial arts come with useful principles. I trained in WC for 4 years having first boxed for 15 years prior. My boxing experience allowed me to "explore" the function of WC without having to worry about surviving sparring sessions since I was already able to hold my own against anyone in the class by just using my boxing ability. From the very beginning I did not use the traditional Wing Chun stance and would never recommend it to anyone serious about real street fighting. That is not to say that the offensive tools in the art do not work and should not be adopted. No matter what you call a style or art, chops, elbows, sweeps, punches and leg joint attacks are functional and need to be part of any REAL combative curriculum. In this video, I share the real function of the WC chain punching method and what it has in common with "Pugilism". Enjoy, S |
