Embarking on a "SIBO diet" is one of the most common ways people try to treat the condition. And while there are many to choose from (low FODMAP, SCD, bi-phasic, low fermentation, elemental, and recently carnivore), there is hardly any research/evidence that these diets legitimately treat or cure SIBO. Rather, they are most likely providing a bandaid-like effect. In this video, I discuss two recent papers that explore the question: can we really treat SIBO with diet/nutrition alone?
