Mr. Honda performs Bassai for training purposes.

This version of Bassai, sometimes referred to Bassai-dai as learned by Mr. Honda from Master Funakoshi's direct students - seniors Noguchi, Okuyama, Egami, and Shibuya. Corroborated by Waseda Karate Club, senior Kawanabe, Ohshima, and Keio University.

Level 2 kata practice is to copy the movements and breathing exactly. Use this video to understand and implement Master Funakoshi's 3 Cardinal Rules.

Work towards making your Kata completely automatic kata. There should be no numbers or thought about your movements or breathing by the accomplishment of Level 2.

Level 3 is performance level where you make the kata completely a part of you and your own.
