So I'm going to make a series of videos on how to distribute your music, how you can actually put music out. This is the first one of the series!

Everyday, a lot of musicians come to me and ask me to give them some ideas on how to get their EPs out there, on how to release an EP. Well, here is what you should be doing.

First thing first, let me ask you a question. What is the purpose of your EP? Here are the answers I usually get.
1- We want to sell it and make money
2- We want to build our audience
3- We've made something that we love and we want other people to hear it

But these three ideas don't work together.

Therefore, you should start by thinking of the final destination.
Think about the format, the type of content, and also what platform you are going to use to get your music out there.

So in this series of videos we're going to look into all of these questions that you need to answer to get your music out there to get traction.

When I was 18, I was signed to a major label (dropped 6 months later) and at 23 I co-founded a Music University in Europe called BIMM (valued at $300M). I’m also a bass player, I’ve played for a number of artists including Eric Clapton, Alanis Morrisette and Billy Cobham. I initially retired at 30, but realised that life gets boring if you’re not building!

I have always been in-between the music industry and education which is how I ended up building my YouTube channel - I’ve been teaching artists how to release music long before it was a ‘niche’! I now educate artists around the world with my Academy, YouTube channel and I work directly with labels internationally alongside owning a live agency and management company.
