A torn ACL heals at a different rate than a torn meniscus. A meniscus takes the longest at 6+ months before you can safely return to full activity. The ACL heals in about half that time. But the bigger problem most deal with is an underlying root muscle imbalance that is responsible for flaring up the knee throughout the recovery process.
