In the course of the workshop, we discuss common challenges in applying Stoic philosophy within the contemporary workplace. We also run through a list of different types of difficult people, examining why we find dealing with them difficult. Then, we turn to some Stoic strategies - drawn directly from Epictetus, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, and Cicero - that can be helpful. Some of these are immediately useful in particular situations, and others require a bit more of a long-term commitment and practice. #stoicism #philosophy #workplace |
