You may have heard Naat Mubarak but did you know that this Naat was sung by a Christian singer Salim Raza and Christian singer Irene Parveen. Written for the film Noor Islam in 1957, the Naat and its music were composed with great devotion.

Saleem Raza March was a Pakistani playback singer. He started his singing career from Lahore film industry and quickly gained popularity. Saleem Raza’s career suffered due to the rise of the singer Ahmed Rushdi in the late 1950s. He left playback singing in 1966 as he lost his popularity with the composers and shifted to Canada where he died a few years later.
Salim Raza was born as Noel Dias also in Amritsar in India in a Christian family. After partition, he immigrated to Lahore. Changed his name to Reza Selim, and began singing in a radio station of Lahore.
Irene Perveen is a Pakistani singer from the 1960s, who mainly sang for Pakistani movies. She gained popularity for her film song, "Tumhi ho mehboob mere" for movie Aaina .Her voice was very popular in pakistan as well india.In the beginning, Irene used to sing in Radio Pakistan's music programs. She started her career in the film Noor-E-Islam in 1957. She sang some popular duets with Masood Rana and Ahmed Rushdi.
