This is the eight in a series of new 45-minute Webinars developed and hosted by ReasonIO. In this webinar, I introduce the participants to some of key ideas of the Stoic philosopher Epictetus' works (i.e. the Discourses and Enchiridion), focusing particularly on choice and character. We discuss the faculty of choice and what choice extends to. We also discuss how the Stoics understand good character, and how choices figure into developing a good character in terms of habits - particularly those of virtues and vices..

We take about 20 minutes worth of questions at the end of the webinar, providing some answers and additional discussion spurred by those questions.

The 2-hour-long online seminars on Epictetus, choice, and character will take place on Saturday, December 16, at 10 AM and 4 PM Central Time. You can register for those here - https://reasonatwork.typeform.com/to/xjmzk5
