Ian O'Connor is Professor at Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France, and member of the Lyon Institute of Nanotechnology. His research interests include novel computing and interconnect architectures based on emerging technologies, associated with methods for design exploration, and he has authored or co-authored many book chapters and journal publications on the subject.
In this talk, he explains how the miracle of nanotechnology has brought us into the information age, and how it will continue to transform our lives.


Ian O'Connor is Professor of Electronics at Ecole Centrale de Lyon, France and head of the Heterogeneous Systems Design group at the Lyon Institute of Nanotechnology. Since 2008, he also holds a position of Adjunct Professor at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada. His research interests include novel computing and interconnect architectures based on emerging technologies, associated with methods for design exploration. He has authored or co-authored over 200 book chapters, journal publications, conference papers and patents.
