We examine the influence that he exerted on an entire generation of other philosophers who developed important philosophical schools, like Plato (Platonism), Aristippus (Cyrenaic hedonism), Antisthenes (Cynicism), Euclides (Megarian). These also lead later to Aristotle's school and to Zeno's Stoic school. Other talks in this series focused upon Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus, Cicero, Epictetus, Plutarch, Augustine of Hippo, Boethius, Anselm of Canterbury, Thomas Aquinas, Rene Descartes, Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, G.W.F. Hegel, Friedrich Nietzsche, Maurice Blondel, Albert Camus, Simone de Beauvoir, and Hannah Arendt.
