Umno Youth chief Dr Akmal Saleh has been arrested.
In a Facebook post, Akmal said he was being detained at the Kota Kinabalu district police headquarters even though he was scheduled to give a statement to the police in Dang Wangi in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow. Akmal said he will give his full cooperation and will not budge even an inch in his stand. While Akmal did not reveal the reason for this arrest, there have been calls for him to be probed over his recent social media postings. Akmal has been at the forefront of calls for action and boycott against KK Mart over the "Allah" socks controversy.
