Fans return to Old Trafford as COVID restrictions ease | Manchester United vs Fulham | EPL |
|
Manchester United fans' long awaited return to step back into the Old Trafford Stadium was welcomed today as Covid-19 restrictions begin to ease across the UK.
Manchester United hosted Fulham FC at the famous ground on 18th May, a game that United fans will be praying 'The Red Devils' win. They currently sit in second place in the English Premier League, unable to catch the newly crowned champions, their bitter rivals, Manchester City. 1. 00:29 - 00:43 SOUNDBITE (English) Graham McLauchlan, Manchester United fan "To see the fans and to be able to cheer the team on, it's going to be great. It's a bit of a dead rubber as a game but let's hope we can get a nice result and be out in the open for once." 2. 01:06 - 01:12 SOUNDBITE (English) Geraldine Griffin, Manchester United fan "It's fantastic. Brilliant to be back. It's been a long 14 months but yeah, we're back and it's brilliant." 3. 01:40 - 02:16 SOUNDBITE (English) Jim Innes, Manchester United fan (on if he expects protests during the game) "Football is much bigger than our club. I think it's surprised the owners, the sentiment from fans of the biggest club in the world, that they're prepared to protest against that, as they perceive they're going to make us bigger by putting us into some kind of Super League where there's no promotion, no relegation, nothing, it's not football, it's not even soccer. It's just as important for me coming back and talking to my lads about what's going on and getting in there and seeing what the rest of the 10,000 fans have to say today." #ManUtd #ManchesterUnited #ManUnited #FootballFans #OldTrafford SOURCE: SNTV Visit the WeShow Football store: https://www.youtube.com/weshowfootball/store #WeShowFootball features previews, reactions and behind-the-scenes footage from Europe's elite football competitions.
