Enroll in the FREE online class, Worlds of Speculative Fiction - https://reasonio.teachable.com/p/worlds-of-speculative-fiction/

We have restarted the Worlds of Speculative Fiction lecture/discussion series in a new online monthly format. Each session will have a roughly 90-minute video (this one is longer, though!), which will be premiered (allowing chat interaction between viewers and myself). Then immediately following that, we will have a Zoom videoconferencing session, where we'll continue the discussion.

This session focuses on the science-fiction, fantasy, and horror writer Dan Simmons, and on the last two books of his Hyperion Cantos series

We discuss the narrative universe of his stories, his intentions and ideas in worldbuilding, the key characters, the timeline, and several philosophical themes of the works
