However, rising digitisation without policies, standards, and cyber security safeguards present major risks for people, firms, and the public sector. Indeed, cyber crimes cost the continent an estimated US$4 billion in 2021.

What are the most pressing cyber threats? What are some quick wins governments should prioritise in the short-term, and what challenges require longer-term policy planning?
What role does the private sector play in creating greater security? Are there incentives for greater private efforts towards this?
