Hindhyra Mateta was born in Luanda in 1985. BA in International Relations from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Angola.

Photographer, publicist, consultant, cultural, social activist, won the Prix BESA (Bank Espírto Santo Angola) Imaging and Photography 2008 and has done solo exhibitions of visual arts (theater Elinga Luanda in 2007, photography and visual arts; Catholic University Angola and Oscar Ribas University 2009, photography, Journalism Training Centre of Luanda 2012, photographs focusing on enhancement of natural hair).

Had an interest in documentary Would Grow surinam - Stories Luanda, the filmmaker Kiluanje Freedom and directed by Ondjaki and in 2010 developed a production work for BBC World Service Radio and supported the research and production of the series pan-African Jacob's Cross produced by the Bomb Shelter for M-Net South Africa. In the same year he was part of the artistic residency of Triangle Arts Trust, "Home and abroad" (Portugal) and in 2011 participated in a collective photographic exhibition Project 30 days of photography started on facebook and that was evident in the Camões Institute of Maputo. He is also a board member and a presenter of the radio program Creative Bridges, a program about culture and creativity, delivered online.
