EPISODE 26. Social sustainability is high on many agendas within the Real Estate industry. The aim is to get stable and safe areas where people can enjoy living and feel safe. But how do you measure the progress in your residential areas, and what data should be used to follow the development over time?

We spoke with Martin Grander, Assistant Professor at Malmö University and an expert in social sustainability in terms of housing. Martin shares his knowledge regarding the challenges with segregated areas, and states that the key to success is projects aiming for employment. His advice is to follow a combination of data such as education, employment, income, and residential mobility. It is also important to be persistent since change tends to take time.
