2022 Alfa Romeo Tonale vs 2021 Polestar 1 Comparison.
The all-new 2021 Alfa Romeo Tonale looks to inject some Italian blood into the fray of subcompact luxury crossovers. With curvy bodywork that's accentuated by Alfa's sharp-nosed face, the Tonale is as handsome as they come. In addition, it should offer a plug-in-hybrid powertrain with a short electric-driving range. Although that and many other facets about the small SUV are still unknown, the company has promised that it will continue Alfa's tradition of driving enjoyment. Throw in a high seating height and an all-wheel-drive option that consumers crave—as well as the potential for a high-powered Quadrifoglio model—and the 2021 Tonale is set to be a compelling new entry. What's New for 2021? The all-new Tonale debuted in concept form at the 2019 Geneva auto show, and more recently we've seen leaked images of it in production form. While we await official details on the version that will hit U.S. showrooms, we know that it will slot underneath the Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV and compete with subcompact alternatives such as the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40. The 2021 Polestar 1 is not only one of the prettiest plug-in hybrids to ever recharge a battery, the elegant 2+2 coupe is also both expensive and exclusive. As the halo car for Volvo's performance-EV subsidiary, Polestar, it costs more than $150,000, and only 150 copies are available for purchase each year. While the sleek PHEV has an impressive all-electric driving range of 52 miles and a combined system output of 619 horsepower, its synthetic steering feel and firm ride diminish the driving experience. The packaging required for its electrified powertrain and large battery pack also compromise the coupe's passenger-and-trunk space. Although its interior design and materials match Volvo's signature style and richness, a car this expensive should have power adjusters for both the steering column position and seat-cushion thigh extensions. And its lack of a sun shade for the huge glass roof is especially irksome. Still, the 2021 Polestar 1 is a special plug-in hybrid. What's New for 2021? As the Polestar 1 reaches the end of its production run after the 2021 model year, there will be a Special Edition sold in limited numbers (25 worldwide) and painted in matte gold. The gold theme also extends to the coupe's brake calipers and interior stitching. 2021 alfa romeo tonale, alfa romeo tonale 2022, alfa romeo tonale interior, alfa romeo tonale google search, alfa romeo tonale youtube, alfa romeo tonale review, alfa romeo tonale release date, alfa romeo tonale 2022 interior 2022, alfa, romeo, tonale, release, date, phev, suv, production, model, official, debut, plug-in, hybrid, vehicle, crossover, Tim Kuniskis, announcement, Global Director, united, states, maket, next generation, automobile, automotive, news, autocarwow, mat watson, car review, car review 2021, new car review, polestar, polestar 1, new polestar 1, polestar 1 review, new polestar 1 review, polestar 1 review 2021, new polestar 1 review 2021, polestar review 2021, polestar cars, polestar electric car, best electric car, best new electric car, most expensive electric car, most expensive electric car 2021, luxury electric car, volvo polestar, volvo polestar electric car, new polestar review, new polestar review 2021TheStraightPipes, The Straight Pipes, Straight Pipes, StraightPipes, Exhaust, Sound, Review, polestar, polestar 1, polestar 2, volvo, volvo polestar, volvo polestar 1, volvo polestar 2, volvo s60 polestar engineered, volvo t5 engine, volvo s60 turbo, volvo s60 engine, tesla motor, solar roof, tesla wall |
