2022 Alfa Romeo Tonale vs 2022 Polestar 2 Comparison.
The all-new 2021 Alfa Romeo Tonale looks to inject some Italian blood into the fray of subcompact luxury crossovers. With curvy bodywork that's accentuated by Alfa's sharp-nosed face, the Tonale is as handsome as they come. In addition, it should offer a plug-in-hybrid powertrain with a short electric-driving range. Although that and many other facets about the small SUV are still unknown, the company has promised that it will continue Alfa's tradition of driving enjoyment. Throw in a high seating height and an all-wheel-drive option that consumers crave—as well as the potential for a high-powered Quadrifoglio model—and the 2021 Tonale is set to be a compelling new entry. What's New for 2021? The all-new Tonale debuted in concept form at the 2019 Geneva auto show, and more recently we've seen leaked images of it in production form. While we await official details on the version that will hit U.S. showrooms, we know that it will slot underneath the Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV and compete with subcompact alternatives such as the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40. The 2022 Polestar 2 is a lot of things, specifically a four-door hatchback with the proportions of a sedan and the ride height of a crossover, but above all else it's an electric vehicle. Its Polestar branding will be familiar to fans of Volvo's performance division, but now it signifies pure-electric and plug-in-hybrid models, with the Polestar 1 coupe classified as the latter. The 2's odd design isn't very pretty, but its hatchback body and much lower price make it more practical and attainable. Of course, its interior is richly appointed and fitted with an intuitive infotainment system. The 2022 Polestar 2 is available with either one or two electric motors. The car with the single-motor setup is front-wheel drive and has an estimated driving range of about 260 miles. The dual-motor 2 has a shorter range, but that's offset by all-wheel drive and significantly more power for quicker acceleration. What's New for 2022? For 2022, Polestar introduces two new variants of the 2 hatchback alongside the carry-over Launch Edition. The more notable of these additions is the single-motor, front-drive model that boasts a claimed driving range of up to around 260 miles. The new dual-motor Polestar 2 has the same powertrain as the Launch Edition, but it comes with fewer standard features and thus a lower starting price, which frees up buyer's money for option packages. Those who select the loaded Plus package will benefit from numerous luxury amenities as well as a newly added mechanical heat pump that Polestar says can boost the hatch's estimated range by as much as 10 percent. 2021 alfa romeo tonale, alfa romeo tonale 2022, alfa romeo tonale interior, alfa romeo tonale google search, alfa romeo tonale youtube, alfa romeo tonale review, alfa romeo tonale release date, alfa romeo tonale 2022 interior 2022, alfa, romeo, tonale, release, date, phev, suv, production, model, official, debut, plug-in, hybrid, vehicle, crossover, Tim Kuniskis, announcement, Global Director, united, states, maket, next generation, automobile, automotive, news, auto polestar 2 review, polestar 2, new polestar 2 review, polestar 2 review 2021, polestar 2 ev, polestar 2 interior, polestar 2 electric car, polestar 2 range, volvo electric car, polestar 2 performance, polestar 2 vs tesla model 3, electric car, car review, evs, polestar 2 first drive, road test, carsales.com.au, carsales review polestar 2, polestar 2 review, polestar, polestar review, polestar two, polestar two review, volvo ev, volvo polestar, doug demuro, demuro, doug de muro |
