How to rehabilitate your total knee replacement using a bike |
|
Although not what I would consider optimal, a bike can be used to help rehabilitate your knee replacement. I prefer stretching that can be done passively, without using much effort. A bike requires you to exert force using your non-replaced leg to stretch your replaced knee. A bike also will not automatically require full range of motion in your replaced knee. In summary, a bike can help rehabilitate a knee replacement, but is not a substitute for passive stretches (which I demonstrate in other videos). Spend long periods of time stretching, however you can. In this video, I show you how I would use a bike to help rehabilitate my total knee replacement.
