Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) is a common heart defect often present at birth. When the division between the lower chambers of the heart is abnormal, it is known as a Ventricular Septal Defect. It can be diagnosed by fetal cardiac scans during pregnancy. Children with VSD face various problems during development. Open-heart surgery is performed to correct the defect before any complication arises.
