It's official: Hurricane Idalia made landfall on Florida's Big Bend area Wednesday morning with 125 mph winds. The storm pounded Florida's Gulf Coast with heavy rain, devastating storm surge and hurricane-force winds. At one point, Idalia was a Category 4 storm as it churned north but made landfall as a powerful Category 3 hurricane.
